Design Mile is a Melbourne-based interior design practice founded by architectural designer Irina Liutaia, specialising in timeless residential interiors.

Our work is guided by clarity, proportion and an architectural approach to design. We create homes that are refined and highly functional, yet inherently personal and shaped around the people who inhabit them.

Each project begins with an understanding of how our clients live. Architecture, context and the rhythms of everyday life inform the design from the outset, allowing spaces to evolve with purpose and feel naturally connected to those who call them home.

Each Design Mile project is personally led by Irina. A deliberately limited number of projects each year allows for a considered and collaborative process, with direct involvement from early concept and design development through documentation and construction.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Irina has worked across high-end residential, multi-residential and hospitality projects in Australia and internationally. Her background across architecture, interior design and project delivery brings together creative direction with a strong technical understanding of how spaces are resolved and built.
